To: h.bergstrom@example.edu

Dear Dr. Bergström,

I'm reaching out as a parent navigating a recent PMM2-CDG diagnosis. I found your recent work through Lucid Rare and would be grateful for any guidance on specialists or trials we should be aware of.

Thank you for your time.

What we believe

Three principles that shape how we build.

Transparency over magic

Every expert we surface comes with a traceable reason — which papers, which trials, which networks. If we cannot show why someone is an expert, we do not claim it.

Patients first, always

Most clinical AI is built for hospital IT departments and insurance networks. Lucid Rare is built for the people actually looking for answers — the families navigating a new diagnosis and the clinicians searching for international colleagues working on a condition they rarely see.

Rare does not mean alone

For 300 million people, the right specialist exists — somewhere in the world. Our job is to help you find them, and to give you the confidence to reach out.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lucid Rare a diagnostic tool?

No. Lucid Rare is an information discovery and expert-finding tool. It does not diagnose conditions or recommend treatments. Always consult qualified clinicians for medical decisions.

How do you rank experts?

We combine public signals—publication depth, recency, citations, trials, and organizational roles—into a transparent score. Rankings are not medical endorsements.

What does it cost?

Expert Finder is free for patients and families during our private beta. We may introduce paid tiers for professionals or institutions later.

What about my data?

We encrypt data in transit. We do not sell your email. Saved searches are optional and governed by our Privacy Policy. We are GDPR-aligned.

Who is behind Lucid Rare?

A team based in Helsinki working with research and clinical partners. See About for more detail.
